Best Western Plus Moosomin Hotel

Conveniently located for a mid-journey stay. Staff tried very hard to keep everyone happy. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Didn't try their breakfast selection this stop; there's an A&W right next door where I grabbed coffee and breakfast on the way out. Plugs in the parking stalls for block heaters. Decent choice for an overnight stop.

I stay in hotels about 100 nights a year, this is actually one of my favorite spots. I always get a really good sleep in these very nice rooms. And the breakfast is absolutely fantastic. I try to book places that have free breakfast to lower my expenses on the road. This is one of the best free breakfasts places across Canada.

Wonderful front desk staff (Jaspreet), rooms were spacious and the beds were so comfy!!!! We had a lovely supper delivered by a local restaurant (The Red Barn) which was so good!!! Great experience!!!!

Day two of our trip from Ottawa to Vancouver Island brought us to Moosomin. We picked this location due to it being close to the highway, had a pool with hot tub and the complimentary breakfast. The price was reasonable. The check-in process was smooth. The common areas of the hotel were clean and in good shape. The same for our room. For supper, we were able to walk to a nearby restaurant. Then we lounged in the room. Normally, we would have gone to the pool and hot tub but we were full from supper. I am not sure if it was the thermostat, the air conditioner or the operator. No matter what I did, it would not bring the temperature in the room down from 23. Even though it was on Cool and set to 15, the room only dropped to 21 degrees by morning. We prefer to have our room temperature 19 or 20 for sleeping. We still slept fine despite our lack of success with the AC. There appeared to be many rooms occupied. We found it quiet. No noise coming from inside or outside the hotel. In the morning, we grabbed a quick breakfast right at 6:00 am along with other early birds. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, waffles, toast, cereal, fruit, muffins and more. A good variety and the food was good. The nice thing is that it allowed us to get a good breakfast at the start of our next 12 hour leg.

Excellent Stay. Stayed here for company work trip (2 nights). So I can't speak to the cost or booking process, however, all the following were smooth, simple, and accommodating: parking, check in, door lock (mag key), signing into wifi (16/6 @ 25 ping), showering, using kitchenette (microwave, cutlery), adjusting AC to my preference (very quickly brought the room to proper temp), ALL was excellent. Few areas to improve on: 1) all the soaps/shampoos were all promoting "citrus" blends, which give me an instant headache. (I mean, I'm 37, if I really had an issue I should have just brought my own stuff, lol.) I get that y'all trying to be fancy or whatever, but perhaps an alternative here. EVERYTHING was lemon pledge. And no body wash? Come on now... 2) my "office" chair in my room clearly has had a good life, and should be put into the next, lol. It leans back quickly, without warning, and doesn't provide any feeling of security, lol. This one in particular, must have a bolt missing as well, because it leaned to the left just as hard as it did backward. (Terrifying, when zombie walking over from the shower at 330am after the longest work shift of life.) 3) the toilet paper people and the dispenser people obviously don't work together, because their products don't either. I felt like a cat shredding the roll trying to wipe myself because the dispenser held the larger roll too tightly. And the paper was too fragile to withstand the force required to spin it. All small things, absolutely nothing worth any sort of formal complaint. Honestly I had a great stay. Wifi was solid, shower was strong and proper temp, room was very clean and well stocked, and I slept great (I also hate hotel pillows but again, shame on me, lol), big spacious room to reorganize my work and clothes bags and collect my thoughts before another long shift in the sun. Thank you best western, I'll be back. :D

Lost ear pods, staff located for me outside in -35 degree whether and helped set up return. Amazing

My husband is a truck driver…we have stayed here several times. Rooms are clean. Staff has always been pleasant….Especially, Jass….she’s awesome! This past stay we had our doggies with us…the hotel was very accommodating.

Overall a nice hotel to stay it with friendly staff. The room was nice and halls seemed clean. The only thing that was off for me was the cleanliness of the pool and hot tub area.
